Classes meet 4 - 6 pm on
Mondays/Wednesdays or
Tuesdays/Thursdays

No previous experience is necessary.

Class sizes are limited -
apply early to get a spot!

WHERE?

All programs are located at Out of Site Youth Arts Center at City Arts and Tech High School, 301 de Montfort Ave. We are one block south of Ocean Ave at the corner of de Montfort Ave and Jules St: one block from the MUNI K and 8 blocks from the Balboa Park BART station.

WHO?

The workshops are open to everyone in 9th through 12th grade whether you are an experienced artist or not. Classes have a maximum of 15 students.

COURSE CREDIT?

Elective course credit available. UC-approved semester-course credit available for the Architecture class. Please contact us for more information.

Afro-Brazilian Drumming

Learn the concepts, skills and history of Afro Brazilian drumming and then perform at Carnaval.




Samba Dance

In Brazil after you learn to crawl, you learn to dance samba! We will take our moves to the Carnaval Parade.

Architecture and Design

Learn the skills, processes, and concepts to design and build a float for the Carnaval parade.




Black & White Photography

With a 35mm camera in hand and pro darkroom to use, your stories are revealed.

The Booth

Painting
